Distance Learning *

Due to the threat of COVID-19, the Philippine Government, by the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), has prohibited physical contact and mass gatherings, including face-to-face classes. Academic Year 2020-2021 marks the very first time that Distance Learning was made available in Colegio de Santa Ana. Through the use of Online Platforms and in partnership with various Learning Management System Providers (LMS), CDSA managed to deliver quality Catholic education while creating a balance between the use of gadgets for online learning, offline activities, and self-paced learning.

With CDSA's Distance Learning program called F.O.C.U.S. Ananians (Flexible and Open-hearted Curriculum Uniquely Designed for Students), students focuses on three (or four) subjects per week, with one day for watching of recorded lessons by their teachers, two days for live (Zoom and Google Meet) discussions with their teachers, and two days for offline activities (assignments, projects and/or performance tasks). CDSA partnered with Genyo, Schoology and Google for the online delivery of lessons and learning materials. Parents, tutors, guardians and/or older siblings are called "Learning Companions" and play a vital role in ensuring that their child (or younger sibling) is able to cope up with the lessons and activities.

For those with limited Internet connectivity and gadgets for online learning, Modular Delivery of Learning may also be offered (printed modules). Please call our Guidance Office (8891-6536) to discuss how we can help you and your child with the best learning modality and for further questions on our Distance Learning Program.

Genyo is the preferred LMS for Nursery up to Junior High School, especially for monthly examinations.

Schoology is the preferred LMS for Senior High School students.

CDSA's domain is registered for use with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) for Education. Google Workspace for Education is used together with Genyo and Schoology.

Zoom is the preferred app for class discussions and video conferences.

* Distance Learning is only offered for as long as the IATF prohibits face-to-face classes. CDSA values the health and well-being of its students and employees. CDSA may shift to a Blended Delivery of Learning (Limited face-to-face + Online/Modular) when age restrictions are relaxed, upon recommendation of the IATF, DepEd and Taguig City LGU, and a consensus of the CDSA stakeholders (BOT, Admin, Faculty and Parents).
